January 15, 2018, 10:54am. Petty Theft. Barely legal yr elderly Caucasian male, 6'2" got the attention of the hardware shop staff when he came in with an empty backpack. His stand off-ish attitude attracted additional notice of the Loss Prevention Officer who monitored his shopping on security cameras. It was then that the officer was able to catch the suspect putting burst paint cans into his bag and proceeding to the exit sans paying. He was detained prior to leaving and brought into the backroom for questioning. While in custody, the officer was able to find out the suspect's criminal record of vandalism and his likelihood of prison with any police action. An understanding was reached by the suspects and the Loss Prevention Officer, and they was pulled out sans involvement of law enforcement. $19.98 retail value recovered for the shop sans incident.
