When we watched the early cuts on this show, we were struck with the fact that this may be the first-ever time that the atmosphere and perceiving of a fag club has ever been successfully grasped on film or video--the whirl and swirl, the highs and lows, the sublime and some of the ridiculous, but most especially, the sexuality that seems to permeate the very air of a truly happening bar. The show opens just before closing time as the late night regulars feast last cad and pair off. Refusing a date with Rhett Powers, a stud he has been watching regularly, head bartender Sonnie is left alone. Or so he thinks. As he starts to portion up he finds himself in the forearms of a malingerer with a well-planned attack. Shortly hot newcomer Joey Morelli is turning Sonnie every way but liberate and Sonnie steely fuck-stick is ample evidence that while this tryst may be casual, it is undoubtedly intense. These 2 go together like paper and glue. And it's enough to make one come unglued. The next morning bar-owner Trent Reed sends barback Kurt Stefano off to get some sensational produces for the Anniversary Soiree that night, clearing the way for his close tryst with deliveryman Kyle McKenna.
