A young Marine, Joel McCleavy, just 18, is grabbed outside a secret facility he was sent to observe in Qatar. HIs grip is a set-up, a way to test his capability to withstand torture. The Marine looks like the high school kid he was 6 months ago, but he's rough – or at least he thinks he is. Another young man, under the direction of a older officer, rips Joel's shirt off, accuses him of being a spy and showcases him a table coated with whips and other tools of torture. 'I am not a spy! I'm a U.S. Marine, and we are taught to stand against torture!' Joel screams, bolted against a wall, quivering in fear and anger. We'll see.
