If there was ever an example where you want to say to someone, "why don't y'all just go ahead and nail already?!" it would be Jake Bass and Pierre Fitch! Both sonnies of Montreal, they have at one time or another been both friends and rivals. Both boys have gigantic personalities (and egos) and it's safe to say Pierre and Jake have more than once crossed paths in Montreal -- even sharing the same ex-boyfriends. Over the years, they have truly become classical frenemies. For trio years now, I have seen them in many situations together -- from Pierre supporting Jake in his quest to become the next Fleshjack guy to their jokey "wifey" gig in Project GoGo Boy. Many devotees were prompted to ask why they never hooked up in PGGB. Well, we did attempt but it was not in the stars! In reality, both are joy together. There's never a dull moment since they indeed know how to thrust each other's buttons, periodically sounding like an senior married couple. And like all rivalries, it's firm not to perceive a little sexual strain just below the surface! This was a pairing that I had pitched several times, but never thought would come to be. So I was astonished when Jake came to me one day and said he sensed now is the time. We prepped for this gig a little differently than the rest -- more like a boxing match inbetween two champs. We were uncertain what to expect, but I knew it would be epic and truly it is. If Jake's popshot is any indication, there sure was some trapped feelings!
