Reverend Patrick told me about Flynn. Of course, it was in his admission file that he was most likely gay. Reverend Patrick controlled to get him to confess that he had some mostly harmless practices with other lads, slightly even something requesting confession, but oftentimes confession is not about the sin as much as the guilt that the confessor feels. Flynn apparently perceived highly guilty. Reverend Patrick used that as a pretext, as he is oftentimes too impatient to do, to loosen the youngster of his virginity, as well as his guilt. He told me a few days later what he had done. Further, what an impatient participant youthfull Flynn had been in the experience. I already thought Flynn was an incredibly wonderful youngster but that knowledge made him too much to resist. I couldn’t get him out of my mind. One night I was ambling thru the dormitory, just after lights out, and noticed a light coming from under the door to his room. I peaked in to check on him and, much to my delight, found him on his knees in prayer. Getting down on all fours behind him I asked what was on his mind and he confessed that he was fighting with impure thoughts. There is only one cure for that. Our youthfull altar dudes oftentimes come to us burdened with needless guilt regarding the all-natural hankers of a youthfull man’s body. They can only decently obey the church with a quiet heart and a focussed mind. It is part of our teaching to train them how to find that.
