A Thing of Ultra-cutie

Director's Note: Jake Jaxson and R.J. Sebastian here. We have been highly open about what A Thing of Hottie means to us -- it is the first-ever of what we expect to be many collaborations with each other. In this series of brief films, or what we call "erotic poems," we are deliberately connecting ourselves, our struggles, our love, and our sexual "beings" to our work. In this film, we commence with "the daily grind." It has caused more fights, upset, and stress in our 15-year relationship together than anything else. When allowed, the monotony of the everyday has become a slow poison and the stress and the daily polish is sand and water -- it erodes the land and turns mountains into hills. However, as in nature, water also gives us life and sand becomes glass, both helping us to witness and live finer lives. Strain and upset will always exist, but we can just as lightly be in a place of peace, abundance, love, and connection. This became real to us when we were stuck in horrific traffic one morning and were beyond aggravated -- first-ever at the traffic, then at each other. As we were taking a back street to our office, we drove along side the gnarly, devilish Lengthy Island Expressway, and in all that rusty, contorted metal, it appeared to be sneering back at us -- even chortling at us! Now, whenever we go to work -- especially on bad days -- we always make sure to drive past the "laughing" bridge. And every time, we smile back.
